Office Technology

I've just come back from the stationery store in the department empty
handed as it's missing a vital piece of modern office technology - the
humble pencil.

That's right - that little wooden stick with a length of graphite down
the middle has no presence whatsoever in the supplies cupboard, not
even an empty box where they should be!

I've had to liberate one from one of the (absent) secretaries desks,
with a promise to return it when new supplies arrive!
